Teenage Girls Unlock Their True Beauty and Embrace Self-Love with What Makes You Feel Beautiful

Hilo, Big Island - June 10, 2023 - What Makes You Feel Beautiful (WMYFB), a Maui Hawai’i-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering girls and women, is thrilled to announce their transformative event. On June 10th, WMYFB's own Savannah Gankiewicz, Miss Hawaii USA and Youth Program Director, brought the empowering F.L.Y. (First Love Yourself) program to the beautiful Big Island.


WMYFB's mission is simple yet powerful: to cultivate self-love, self-esteem, and unwavering confidence within each and every individual. Through their marquee program, F.L.Y. First Love Yourself, they uplift and inspire young girls and women across Maui county and beyond. By providing transformative classes, workshops, resources, and tools, WMYFB equips participants with the essential skills to build a strong foundation of self-esteem and self-love, leading to a life of empowerment.


During the exclusive F.L.Y. workshop held in Hilo, Big Island, Savannah Gankiewicz shared her personal journey and expertise, offering invaluable guidance to six inspiring young women who were Miss Hawaii Teen USA contestants. This workshop focused on overcoming self-critical thoughts and embracing each participant's unique beauty. Through empowering discussions, engaging activities, and transformative exercises, these remarkable women were empowered to soar to new heights of self-confidence.



"We believe that every girl and woman deserves to feel beautiful from within. Our F.L.Y. program is designed to nurture self-love, self-esteem, and unwavering confidence," said Savannah Gankiewicz, Miss Hawaii USA and Youth Program Director at WMYFB. "I am honored to have brought this empowering program to the Big Island and worked closely with these inspiring young women, guiding them on their journey towards embracing their true self."
