Females are Fabulous is a collection of bold courageous women sharing their inspirational stories of triumph, strength, hope, love and meaning.
The first story of the year for "Females are Fabulous", Is about Hawaii’s beautiful female bodybuilder Brittney Marcos.
Brittney’s story was inspired after seeing her take 1st place in her division
Class A open bikini, at the Shawn Ray’s Maui Classic. She talks about what it’s like being a bodybuilder, a wife and mother of three. This is an empowering story of mental and physical strength.
It may look glamorous but it’s a well respected sport and the women that partake in it are dedicating athletes.
The first official female bodybuilding competition was held in Canton Ohio November 1977. It was called the Regional Women’s physique Championship.
Prior to 1977 bodybuilding had been considered strictly a male oriented sport.
but by the late 1970’s women began to take part in bodybuilding competitions.
The year 1980 the American Federation of Women bodybuilder was founder.
Ms. Olympia Contest was the first to be televised live in 1991. Today the numbers are growing of women from all over the world that train to become bodybuilders, many compete in competitions.
