In our Mentor Program, we strive to cultivate mentoring relationships that provide women with guidance, support and community connections. We match young women between the ages of 18-35 years old, with a trained female empowerment mentor. The mentoring pair works together one-on-one and can join together as a community on a monthly basis to share life experiences in our personal development workshops. Our goal is to cultivate new relationships that support increased confidence, self-sufficiency, and connection to our community.

BECOME A MENTEE
If you are interested in participating in the programs offered by What Makes You Feel Beautiful, please complete our convenient online application. One of our staff will be in touch with you to set up an informational interview to talk about the next steps and get you matched with a mentor.
PARTICIPATING IN THE MENTORING PROGRAM
Opt. Attend Workshops: these occur approximately every 4 weeks and last from about 1.5 hours

Meet With Your Mentor: regularly meeting with your mentor helps build trust and deepen your relationship, which is more beneficial to you.

“You get out of the program what you put in.” When you intentionally decide to do something and you put effort in, you will see better results of the outcome that you have in mind. So, be all in!
BECOME A MENTOR
Women who have life experiences to share, who are great listeners, have a caring heart and who are interested in having a major impact in the community make great mentors!
By becoming a volunteer mentor, you will work
one-on-one with a mentee to provide support and guidance. The mentor/mentee relationship last three month with four sessions.
In addition, you will complete WMYFB code of ethics and training, attend at least one workshop with your mentee and the rest of the cohort of mentoring pairs for a duration of three months.
One-on-one support and workshops provide skill building, goal and plan development, and a supportive environment for women in Maui County looking to take their next steps in life.
We are seeking women to join the mentor pool for the Mentor Program on an ongoing basis. Matching will occur when we find a mentee for you.
Upon completing your application, our staff will contact you to set up your interview. Your application and interview are key methods that we use to help match you with your mentee, so please expect a call and email from us once you have completed the application.
